As a reborn painter myself emerging from the nihilistic philosophies of punk rock and structuralism, my new values are about transforming images into objects. Wanting to make a convincing illusion and a good painting at the same time. Witnessing the evolution of your work is humbling to me as your generous explosions of pigment become alchemic. The surface area is so physically uncanny that it invites a forensic viewing. How could this have happened? Pass the sangria and weed, please.
